Antoine Poupel at Galerie MSPACE with CLAC Art Contemporain

Antoine Poupel participated in CLAC Art Contemporain — Hors les Murs, a group exhibition presented at Galerie MSPACE in Paris on 24 and 25 October 2024.

Located on rue du Mont-Cenis in Montmartre, the gallery welcomed this off-site presentation, bringing together artists working across contemporary practices. The exhibition offered visitors an opportunity to encounter Poupel’s photography within a collective setting.

Poupel’s work explores the relationship between photography and painting. Through experimentation with light, superposition, and the photographic surface, he transforms recorded images into compositions that leave room for imagination. His approach encourages viewers to move beyond immediate recognition and attend to colour, texture, and the relationships between forms.

His participation in the exhibition continued an ongoing connection with CLAC Art Contemporain, following a presentation at the Espace Bateau-Lavoir in Paris in 2023.
