The Musée GRATALOUP in Chevreuse presents Entre les Mondes — In Between Worlds, an exhibition bringing the photography of Antoine Poupel into dialogue with the paintings of GRATALOUP.

The exhibition unfolds between the chapel of the Prieuré Saint-Saturnin and the museum gardens. Inside, GRATALOUP’s paintings explore light, matter, and the relationship between earth and sky. Outside, Poupel’s photographs invite visitors to look closely at bodies, animals, landscapes, and the connections between them.

Poupel approaches photography as a means of transforming the visible. Through superposition, experimentation, and a painterly treatment of light, his images open a space for memory and imagination. Presented in the gardens, the photographs enter into a dialogue with the surrounding landscape.

Moving between painting and photography, Entre les Mondes invites visitors to slow down, observe, and consider their place within the living world. Podcasts accompany the works, offering further insight into the artists’ approaches.

The accompanying video introduces Entre les Mondes, offering a glimpse of the exhibition and the setting in which these two artistic worlds meet.
