Les ZOOgraphes: Antoine Poupel at La Cachotterie

From 21 March to 25 April 2026, Antoine Poupel participated in Les ZOOgraphes at La Cachotterie in Cachan, France.
The exhibition’s title brings the animal world into focus, offering a context in which to consider Poupel’s continuing interest in the living world and its representation through photography.
Animals occupy an important place in his practice, notably through his longstanding collaboration with the equestrian theatre Zingaro. His images explore their presence through light, movement, and photographic transformation, inviting viewers to discover relationships between observation and imagination.
An Intimate Setting for Art
Founded by author and illustrator Frédéric Clément, La Cachotterie is dedicated to small formats across visual art and photography. Housed in a former brick laundry, the gallery offers an intimate setting that encourages visitors to approach works closely and spend time with their details.
Poupel’s participation in Les ZOOgraphes brought his photographic perspective into this distinctive space, continuing his exploration of images as a means of renewing attention to the world around him.
